Gluster has recently name Dave Garnett vice president of product managment and Lori Budin vice president of channels and partnerships. Dave Garnett most recently lead Hewlett-Packard’s cloud and Software as a Service strategy. Before that he was a co-founder at Axcient, a data protection provider. Lori Budin was most recently founder and CEO of Channel Fundamentals. She has also held leadership positions at Verisign and IBM.

City Network Hosting, a leading provider of hosting services, is using its storage solution for the company’s cloud services platform, City Cloud. Gluster has been named a finalist in TiE Silicon Valley’s TiE50 premier annual awards program that recognizes top technology startups in segments including Internet, energy, wireless/mobile and software. Since its inception in 1992, TiE50 winners and finalists have received over $20 billion in funding and 42 companies have been acquired, merged or went public. The official awards ceremony for winners will be held at TiEcon, the world’s largest conference for entrepeneurs, taking place May 13-14, 2011 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA.
